Accessible Textbook Service
The Kentucky Office for the Blind administers a program in two areas of our state that research and procure textbooks in alternate formats. Formats include 2-track cassette recordings, DAISY recordings, and electronic text files obtained from publishers, etc. Community volunteers are also solicited to reproduce textbooks and other materials unavailable in existing useable formats.
If you have a disability that affects your ability to read or comprehend printed academic and vocational materials, you may obtain this information in alternate formats through our program. For a small fee, you can have specific books and materials reproduced. Unlimited subscription rates are also available.
The Paducah Accessible Textbook Service provides services to individuals who reside WEST of Frankfort, including elementary, secondary and post-secondary schools.
Recorded Book Library - You can search our online database catalog of books recorded onto cassette tape or CD.
