 2012 AT Odyssey A New Vision Overview 

The Kentucky Office for the Blind is hosting an Assistive Technology EXPO and Conference September 18 -19 at the Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky.  The theme of the conference is "2012 Odyssey A New Vision".  This is an exciting two-day event designed to increase knowledge, awareness, and provide current information on assistive technology. 

We will be featuring a variety of vendors in the exhibit hall. The opening session will feature Luis Perez, The Florida Center for Instructional Technology (FCIT) at the University of Southern Florida.  The keynote speaker for the conference is Michael Hingson, who will be speaking at the closing luncheon (limited seating).  Some of the speakers for the breakout sessions are Anindya (Bapin) Bhattacharyya’s, adaptive technology instructor at the Helen Keller National Center. Beth Loy, Principal Consultant with the Job Accommodation Network, Dr. Debbie Bauder, University of Louisville, Dr. Laura Strickland, Spalding University and Maria Delgado with the American Printing House for the Blind.

The conference is open to the public free of charge. Participants include: individuals who are blind and visually impaired, individuals who are deaf blind, family members, VI teachers, employers,  assistive technology staff.  Click on the links below for additional information.
